Washington Protection and Advocacy SystemThe Washington Protection and Advocacy System (WPAS) mission is to advance the dignity, equality, and self-determination of people with disabilities. WPAS works to pursue justice on matters related to human and legal rights.
Border Action Network
The Border Action Network (BAN) formed in 1999 to protect human
rights, civil rights and the Sonoran desert along the Arizona-Mexico
border. BAN is a grassroots, membership organization based in Tucson,
Douglas and Nogales, Arizona that works with Latino and Mexican
communities throughout southern Arizona and northern Sonora, Mexico.
Hate Free Zone
The Hate Free Zone Washington's mission is to uphold the fundamental
principals of democracy and justice. HFZ supports and mobilizes
targeted immigrant communities and allies to advocate for equality,
dignity and respect. HFZ's work integrates four critical areas that,
when combined, become the catalyst for systemic change: political
advocacy, direct support, community mobilization and education.
HFZ was formed as an immediate response to hate crimes and discrimination from individuals and government policies targeting Arabs, Muslims, South Asians and other communities following September 11, 2001. Amnesty International's Links Directory
