Believing that art, in all its forms, is an essential community
resource, Patch Project is dedicated to highlighting the lack of arts
funding in Seattle, alerting the public to the arts community’s
increasing dependence on tobacco money, and encouraging and creating
alternative and sustainable funding for the arts.
Consolidated WorksConsolidated Works is an urban contemporary arts center, actively
developing and presenting work by artists engaged in the exploration of
theater, visual art, film, music, and other arts disciplines. ConWorks
uses its programs and its facility to encourage artists, audiences, and
community partners in the process of multi-disciplinary discovery.
Richard Hugo HouseThe mission of Richard Hugo House is to build a vital learning community that develops and sustains practicing writers doing essential work. It is a place that nurtures writers, readers and audiences of books, plays, films, and brings innovative and effective writing education to people of all ages and backgrounds. The Richard Hugo House's Zine Archive & Publishing Project exists to validate independent publications (extant and defunct, past and present), to promote the perpetuation of the art form, and to champion freedom of speech and creative cultural evolution. Music for AmericaMusic for America is providing the cultural capital and political savvy for young people to reinvent progressive politics. Music for America stands for the belief that this generation is smart enough, and capable enough, and big enough to be the dominant force in American politics. 911 Media Arts
911 Media Arts Center was incorporated in 1984 and is considered
Washington State's premier Media Arts Center. 911 Media Arts' mission
is to support the expressive use of innovative media tools by providing
the access, training and environment needed to create/exhibit works of
enduring merit and artistic excellence. They believe everyone can and
should have access to the tools of communication.
The Vera ProjectVera strives to fulfill its mission to fuel personal and community transformation through the vehicle of popular music shows produced in partnership with young people in Seattle. Since its inception in 2000, Vera has provided a unique resource to Seattle's youth and music community by maintaining a safe, alcohol and smoke free environment for people of all ages to come together and experience music in a way that transcends commercial entertainment and erases divisions between performer, staff and audience. |
